1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using YouthSkilledTrades.com or AdultSkilledTrades.com (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of services

The Platform is an online directory that connects individuals seeking skilled trades training ("Candidates") with schools, apprenticeship programs, workforce organizations, and employers ("Organizations") that offer such training. The Platform provides:

• A searchable directory of skilled trades training programs and apprenticeships
• Candidate profile creation to facilitate program matching
• Scholarship and financial aid information
• Educational content about skilled trades careers
• Paid listing and promotional options for Organizations

The Platform is a directory service. We do not operate training programs, offer apprenticeships, or guarantee employment or enrollment in any program listed on the Platform.

3. User accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information
• Maintain the security of your password and not share your login credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for more than 3 years.

4. Candidate / job seeker terms

As a Candidate, you understand and agree that:

• Creating a profile is free and will always remain free
• Program listings are provided by Organizations and we do not verify their accuracy. Always verify program details, costs, accreditation, and credentials directly with the organization before enrolling or making financial commitments.
• By clicking "Apply now" or submitting an inquiry, you consent to sharing your name and email with the relevant Organization
• We are not a staffing agency, placement service, or educational institution. We do not guarantee job placement, program admission, or any particular outcome.
• Scholarship and financial aid information is provided for informational purposes. Verify all details with the scholarship provider.
• WIOA and federal funding information is general in nature. Eligibility determinations are made by local American Job Centers, not by this Platform.

5. Organization listing terms

Organizations that list programs on the Platform agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about their programs
• Promptly update listings when program details change (cost, availability, accreditation status, contact information)
• Not post listings for programs that do not exist or that the Organization does not operate
• Not make false claims about program outcomes, accreditation, or credentials
• Respond in good faith to inquiries submitted through the Platform
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including consumer protection laws and educational advertising standards
• Grant us a non-exclusive license to display your organization name, description, logo, and program information on the Platform

We reserve the right to remove any listing that we believe contains false, misleading, or harmful information, with or without notice.

6. Payments and billing

Paid plans for Organizations are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel at any time through your dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• The Featured plan includes a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged until after the trial period. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Contact us within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund.
• We reserve the right to change plan pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent information
• Use the Platform to spam, harass, or solicit users outside the Platform's intended purpose
• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Platform without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, or system
• Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable law, including privacy laws, anti-spam laws, and consumer protection laws
• Impersonate another person, organization, or entity
• List programs that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status in violation of applicable law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Platform

8. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, code, logos, content, and organization, is owned by YouthSkilledTrades.com and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Organizations retain ownership of their listing content (program descriptions, logos, etc.) but grant us a license to display it on the Platform. By submitting content, you represent that you own it or have the rights to share it.

Trade videos embedded from YouTube are the property of their respective creators and are embedded under YouTube's standard embedding terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• Program listings are accurate, complete, or current
• Any program will be available, accredited, or meet your specific needs
• Using the Platform will result in employment or enrollment in any program
• The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOUTHSKILLEDTRADES.COM AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may terminate by deleting your account. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with or without notice.

Upon termination: your right to use the Platform ceases immediately; we may retain data as described in our Privacy Policy; paid plan credits are non-refundable except as provided in Section 6.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Onslow County, North Carolina.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
